A 0-0 draw at home to Brighton yesterday was simply not good enough, we had by far the most posession and lost count of the shots on goal so why 0-0.

Seems to be apart from Beckford we have no prolific goalscorers in the team and even he doesnt score most games, the backbone of the team seem to be doing well and keeping clean sheets and positive defending but its no good if we arent scoring goals, something needs to be done quick before its to late and were doomed to this lowly division for another season which i think would be a disaster, Elding is scoring for fun in the reserves so play him alongside beckford or freedman, a younger guy who is itching to get into the first team regular will probably be more on fire and trying harder so try it out and se how it goes, nothing to lose we gotta go all out for it now for the rest of the season, 7 games to go and we are 4 points off play-offs although weve played a game less than teams above us and 2 games less than tranmere so still very much possible but we need to be finishing the chances that we are creating starting with doncaster away on tuesday night which will probably be one of the hardest games of the season.

He is a big guy at 6ft 5 and im surfe he would be a big presence in the box but not sure if we need another striker at the minute, we have Beckford and Freedman who are playing brilliant together, Kandol, Elding and Leon Constantine is out on loan at the minute at Oldham but is due back soon so dont think we need another striker, im happy with what weve got there and i think its good enough to get us promotion this season.

A great response last night from Leeds after a very disappointing few games against Port Vale and Cheltenham, they played good football and they finally looked like a team who wanted to get promoted, it looked like a hungry leeds team just like the way they played from august to december, hopefully this is the turning point and they are going to turn on the style, hunger and flare that we seen in first half of the season, i for one am very excited cos its been discouraging last few weeks but its going to be a hec of a run-in now and the race for play-offs is hotting up big time, next up is Brighton at home next saturday, we dont play on tuesday night now, our game away to huddersfield is cancelled cos of international call ups for some of the leeds team which also is an encouraging sign.

The two players that stood out last night were Beckford and Freedman, good to see Becks getting back to form and on the scoresheet and he seems to be gelling well with Freedman who is on loan til the end of season from Crystal Palace, you could definately see his ability last night and it showed that he has been playing at a level above, class player hope he can be the difference and help us get promoted.

Every game the rest of the season is massive for Leeds, we need to pick as many points as possible if we reallistically want to get promotion to the Coca Cola Championship, i think i can safely say automatic promotion is out of the equation unless of course we get the 15 points back but shouldnt be relying on getting those back, the players should be out playing their hearts out every game from now until end of season and then if the points get reinstated it will be a big bonus.

Last 9 games:

Walsall (h) - sat 22nd march

Brighton (h) - sat 29th march

Doncaster (a) - tue 1st april

Orient (a) - sat 5th april

Carlisle (h) - sat 12th april

Huddersfield (a) - tue 15th april

Millwall (a) - sat 19th april

Yeovil (a) - sat 26th april

Gillingham (h) - sat 3rd may

It is going to be a very tough and vital run in, doncaster and carlisle are 2nd and 3rd in the league, walsall are 6th, orient are 8th and brighton are 9th and the others will be needing to win to secure their place in the league so all hard games, starting with walsall at home on saturday live on Sky Sports lets get the 3 points on the board in the hunt for that play-off spot.

Last week Leeds Utd accepted an offer from the Football League for a private arbritration hearing, this is what Leeds chairman Ken Bates had wanted since September and Lord Mawhinney of the Football League had said there would be no chance, we were punished and deducted 15 points and that was that, what I would like to know is if he was so sure that the Football League were right and they could defend their decision then why now offer Leeds a private hearing on the case, also Ken Bates had said last week that he definately wouldn’t accept the offer because he wanted to go to the high court so it would be public but he accepted, im wondering has the Football League already done a deal with Bates and Leeds behind closed doors so they dont get a bad name in the high court and is this why Bates accepted last week, very interesting indeed.

If this happens and Leeds get thier points back it effects a lot of other teams in the league as Leeds would leapfrog them from 8th into 2nd place in the league, I as an avid Leeds fan have my fingers crossed and hoping we do do get them back..MOT
